Why do we evaluate youth arts projects? What are the best ways to capture the wide range of outcomes from young people’s participation in youth arts? And how do we keep it creative?
In the morning session, join Rhona Dunnett from NYCI’s National Youth Arts Programme to explore evaluation in youth arts projects. Together we’ll delve into the reasons we evaluate our work, the range of potential project outcomes for young people and the kind of evaluation tools/approaches we might use to investigate the outcomes of our youth arts projects. This session will be interactive and will include lots of opportunities for activities and discussion as well as key inputs and resource sharing.
After lunch, we’ll get creative! Inspired by artist Pavel Wroblewski’s recent work with CDYS in Fermoy (https://youtu.be/K-jvfDBAM_4), we’re going to work with Pavel to learn about how to use stop-motion animation to help capture and share important learning outcomes and experiences! Together, we’ll choose our own learning outcomes/experiences, build our stop-motion animation skills and make a short film!
We'd love to see you there!
